This policy explains what personal information Lonzo’s Kitchen Inc. collects through this website and our online store, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. When you order through DoorDash, Uber Eats or SkipTheDishes, or visit another website we link to, that company’s privacy policy applies instead.
Who we are
Lonzo’s Kitchen Inc. runs Lonzo’s Kitchen restaurants in Ontario, Canada, including locations operated by our franchise partners. Our website address is https://www.lonzoskitchen.com. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Lonzo’s Kitchen Inc., and “you” means anyone who uses our website.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Online orders: when you order direct from our online store, your name, phone number, email, your order and pickup time, and any notes you add. Our online store runs on Square, which handles payment, so we never see your full card number.
- Contact form: what your message is about, the location it concerns (if any), your name, email, phone number (optional) and your message.
- Franchise application: your name, email, phone number, country, city, province or state, your message and business experience, how ready you are to open, when you’d like to open and how you heard about us.
- Lonzo Club: your email address and, if you choose, your first name.
- Catering requests (when catering is available online): your name, company, email, phone number, event date and time, number of guests, delivery address and order details.
- Emails, calls and social media messages: anything you choose to tell us when you contact us directly.
Please don’t include sensitive information, such as health or payment details, in our forms.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps logs with technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the date and time. These logs help keep the website secure and running.
- Spam protection. Our forms check how quickly they’re filled in and how often they’re sent. To do this, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for about ten minutes. It isn’t stored with your message.
- Your location, only if you ask. If you tap “Use my location” on our Locations page, your browser asks for permission and then uses your device’s location to sort our restaurants by distance. This happens on your device, and your location isn’t sent to us.
Comments, accounts and uploads
Our website doesn’t offer comments, visitor accounts or photo uploads, so we don’t collect information through those features.
How we use your information
- To prepare your online orders and contact you about them.
- To reply to your messages, feedback and questions.
- To follow up on franchise applications, including sending you our full application and arranging calls.
- To prepare and deliver catering orders.
- To send Lonzo Club emails, if you joined.
- To improve our food, service and website.
- To keep our website secure and prevent spam and fraud.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t use automated decision-making or profiling.
Lonzo Club emails
When you join the Lonzo Club, you agree to receive emails from Lonzo’s Kitchen Inc. about new menu items, deals and news. Every email says who it’s from and includes a way to unsubscribe. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link or by emailing marketing@lonzoskitchen.com, and we’ll stop within 10 business days.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Our website doesn’t use cookies for advertising or analytics. WordPress, the software our website runs on, sets cookies only when a member of our team signs in to manage the site. Some content from other websites on our pages may set its own cookies (see below). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and our website will still work.
Content from other websites
Some pages show content from other websites: Google Maps on our location pages, map images from OpenStreetMap on our Locations page, and our latest Instagram posts on our homepage. This content behaves as if you visited the other website. Those companies may collect information about you, such as your IP address, use cookies, and track how you interact with their content, under their own privacy policies.
Online ordering, apps and other links
Our “Order direct” buttons take you to our online store, which runs on Square. Square processes your payment under its own privacy notice, and we receive your name, contact details and order so we can prepare it. We never see your full card number.
Our other ordering buttons take you to DoorDash, Uber Eats and SkipTheDishes. Those apps handle your order and payment under their own privacy policies. The same goes for other websites we link to, such as Google Maps and our social media pages.
Who we share your information with
- Service providers who help us run our website, online store and email, such as our web host, Square and our email provider. They may only use your information to provide their services to us.
- Our franchise partners, when your message or feedback is about a restaurant they operate, so they can help you.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or when needed to protect the rights and safety of our customers, team and business.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or reorganized. They must protect your information as this policy describes.
We don’t buy personal information. If you contact us through social media or a delivery app, we receive what you choose to share there.
Where your information is stored
Our website, our online store and the messages sent through them are stored on servers run by our service providers, which may be located outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored outside Canada is protected by our providers’ safeguards but may be accessed by authorities there under local laws.
How long we keep your information
We keep messages, applications and requests for as long as we need them to respond and for our business records, and then delete them. Online order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Lonzo Club details are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards, including an encrypted (https) connection, spam protection on our forms, and access limited to team members who need it. No website or email system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee the security of information sent over the internet. If a security breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we’ll notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us:
- what personal information we hold about you and how we’ve used it;
- to correct information that’s wrong or incomplete;
- to delete your information, unless we’re required to keep it; and
- to stop sending you Lonzo Club emails.
Email eat@lonzoskitchen.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our website isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website and services change. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
